Perhaps one of the most exciting things about journeying out of Winter and into Spring is the colour that blooms everywhere, from your front garden to your favourite outfit you’ve been waiting to wear with the warming weather. Newness is a term we will probably see used a lot, as many people see this as a time for a fresh start, especially this year with the end of lockdown waiting for us! Perhaps that includes a revaluation of your skincare regime?
If that is the case, let me tell you all about our two products available right now for a little more pink in your skincare routine, the Vitamin A.C.E Warming Gel Mask, and Rosehip Cleansing Oil.
Vitamin A.C.E Warming Gel Mask
If you struggle to find a good face mask which doesn’t dry your skin out, or doesn’t seem to really imbue your skin with much brightness, look no further. Consider it the ‘I want to eat healthier, let’s have a delicious fruit salad’ of the skincare world! In fact, it contains eleven different fruit extracts and oils… Acai, Acerola Cherry, Apricot, Avocado, Blackcurrant, Camu Camu, Cranberry, Gurana, Pomegranate, Sea Buckthorn, and Strawberry… as well as some other amazing natural ingredients, which makes the mask 100% natural! All these goodies make for a moisturising, brightening, and downright rejuvenating experience.
You have probably already put two and two together that this mask is rich in Vitamins A, C, & E! These fruits are naturally very rich in vitamins, essential fatty acids and antioxidants, and they all have a part to play in loving your skin.
Vitamin C is a fantastic antioxidant for those aiming for clear, bright complexions. You might think first to oranges, but Camu Camu naturally has a higher content, making it the perfect ingredient for youthful looking skin, supported by Strawberry and Acerola. Acai, along with Tocopherol, gives lots of moisturising Vitamin E, as well as B-Vitamins responsible for promoting new, healthy skin cells to be made, and anthocyanins which are a type of flavonoid rich in antioxidants!
When it comes to Vitamin A, we mix fruits like Acerola and Avocado with Algae. Specifically, the micro-algae Dunaliella Salina, which is a salt-loving organism which has developed to survive harsh conditions. One such development is a richness of beta-carotene, a precursor to Vitamin A, which the body can convert into retinol. When you use a product with retinoids, they are either synthetic or animal-derived, so by using a plant-derived carotenoid like Dunaliella Salina, you are still getting the skin health and healing benefits of traditional retinol, but without sacrificing naturals.
And of course, we must address the warming! With the help of super moisturising Glycerin, when you apply this mask to your skin and massage, it will warm your skin and feel absolutely amazing. Perfect for those evenings in!
Rosehip Cleansing Oil
For those of us a little confused by using an oil as a cleanser, let me reassure you! Just like in a cleansing balm, oils are naturally drawn to all the things we’re trying to remove at the end of the day; makeup, sunscreen, excess sebum, dirt, dust, and so on. They stick together, so that when you clean it away with your damp cloth, it all goes down the drain! The great thing about using a cleansing oil is that it is super gentle and moisturising - no more scrubbing at your skin until it turns red or feeling like your skin is dry and tight post-cleanse!
We know a good cleanser gives just as much as it takes away! The 100% natural blend of oils are here to work hard to improve the feel and look of your complexion. Rosehip Oil, unsurprisingly, takes centre stage in this product, with its high natural content of Vitamin C and Trans-retinoic Acid (which can be found in Vitamin A). This combination is the reason the oil has been loved for centuries for its ability to repair skin cells, including when it comes to scarring and hyperpigmentation. But it wouldn’t be the incredible cleansing oil without a little help from Argan, Avocado and Hempseed Oil.
If you’re an avid bruncher, I’m sure you’ll have said or heard Avocado being called a ‘good fat’, and there’s evidence to go along with it! It boasts a rich content of Vitamins A, B1, B2, D & E, as well as essential fatty acids. These EFAs are amazing for rebuilding a damaged or weak skin barrier, strengthening your ability to naturally fight back against harmful bacteria, and keeping the moisture within your skin cells from escaping out into the atmosphere.
Argan Oil is similarly rich in Vitamin E, as well as fatty acid Oleic Acid. These super moisturising ingredients are able to absorb quickly and deeply into your skin to replenish lost moisture, making it perfect for dry and ageing skin. Hempseed Oil is packed with essential fatty acids, with both Omegas 3 & 6, and Gamma-linoleic Acid, which are designed to help protect your skin whilst improving healthy barrier function and reduce signs of ageing. Not to be confused with CBD oil, which is derived from the cannabis plant, Hempseed oil is made from the seeds alone.
Whilst the packaging might be pink, the products are here to take the redness right out of your skin for a clear, bright, healthy complexion which is armed to protect against anything that might want to disrupt that radiance! Stressed, dry and ageing skin can all go in hand, so make sure to take the time out to relax with a luxurious mask, or properly cleanse with a gentle oil, if your routine needs a Spring glow-up. Winter and indoor heating can really suck the moisture from your skin, and no skin type is immune, so for those normal to oily skin types, make sure you’re not entering this new season with leftover dryness!
We hope you love the Vitamin A.C.E Warming Gel Mask and Rosehip Cleansing Oil as much as we do!
